What do you see?

Look at the picture to the left. Do you see the young lady? Do you see the old lady?

Sometimes we think we know someone just by the way they look, but we should follow the guidelines God gave Samuel.

It was time for a new King, Saul was no longer following Gods commands. The prophet visit a man name Jesse to pick from his sons.

One of the sons walk up and Samuel sees that he is (Can You Guess by looking at the picture?)

He was STRONG

but what did God Say?

NO

The second son walks up and Samuel thinks that this one will surely be king because he was

Really Handsome

God said........

NO

A third son walks up and Samuel can't find anything wrong with him especially because he is so

SO TALL

But God said..........................

NO

Finally the youngest son stands before Samuel he was the

Shepherd and sheep don't smell too good!

and he watched the sheep....

And God said ......

YES!

1 Samuel 16:77

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
