SPAM It Is!

What does Code S.P.A.M. mean?

(Look at the end of Training Day #5 for the answer)

Mission Possible Training Day 5:

TODAY IS THE DAY; ALL THAT HARD WORK IS PAYING OFF! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY MISSION POSSIBLE AGENTS! CONGRATULATIONS! HOWEVER, THERE IS ONE MORE MISSION.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to complete Operation S.P.A.M. Here are 3 tips for a successful operation.

#1: What you do before a test. #2 What we should do everyday. #3: Each letter represents a word.

As usual, should you or any member of your M.P. (Mission Possible) Force be captured or find yourself in face of defeat, remember to use code F.R.O.G (Fully rely on God) and code P.U.S.H (Pray until something happens). Good luck."

The Spam Plan

Related scripture: John 20:30-31, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, Luke 4:42, Luke 5:16, Luke 6:12, Psalm 119, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 5:18

¾ Study

It all starts with a can of Spam and the question, What's in this stuff?

Read the list of ingredients on the side of the can. What's the purpose of this information? Is it important?

Read aloud John 20:30-31 and 2 Timothy 3:15-17.

What's the purpose of the Bible? How important is it? What are some other key ingredients in our lives as Christians?

¾ Pray

See the small inspection label on the side of the Spam can. This tiny label tells us this can's been inspected by the Department of Agriculture. Do you trust the people who inspect this product? Why or why not? How is this like or unlike trusting God in prayer? Read aloud Luke 4:42; 5:16; and 6:12. Ask: What do these examples of Jesus' prayer life show us about the way he trusted God?

¾ Memorize

Guess the shelf life of Spam. Read aloud Isaiah 40:8 and Matthew 5:18.

What's the shelf life of God's Word? Why is it important to understand and recall God's Word in everyday situations?

Read aloud the following verses: Psalm 119:11, 47, 97, 105, and 140.
